A sea of flowers in Giverny!
I recently did a post in Spanish about my day in Giverny but I wanted to do one in English dedicated to the gardens. If you come to Paris and have extra days I recommend you this day trip to Giverny. The train only takes 45min from central Paris to Vernon (the closest city to Giverny) and then, as I did, you should rent some bikes for a wonderful ride to Monet's gardens. The gardens can change depending on the season or month, so you can visit the official website where they have a flower calendar to see what's blooming on that month. For us, it was mainly tulips and cherry blossoms. Not bad at all!!! A huge variety of tulips and other flowers are on the first part of the gardens, that are in front of his house. Then, you go down through a stair into the back gardens, that are the famous Japanese ones.
